The David and Jayne Paterson Educational Trust
Description
The David and Jayne Paterson Educational Trust was established to provide funding for graduates from China University of Political Science and Law in Beijing to attend a three-year course in Law at Oriel College, Oxford. After obtaining their degrees, the graduates are expected to return to China to practise Law. The objective of the Trust is to provide some western legal training for ambitious and highly qualified students in China. The Trust provides for all costs and a living allowance for each student for the full period of attendance at Oxford. The selection process is rigorous and conducted in the first place by CUPL itself. The Trustees then select students from a shortlist provided by the Selection Committee.
