originally founded in 1991 by Tom and Julie Bush of Moraine, Ohio as a retail shop. In 1994, ParrotIsland.com was launched as the first Jimmy Buffett/Parrot Head related site on the internet. This was well before Buffett started his Margaritaville.com, and was the envy of many including JB.(this is known because of letters from his lawyers) Parrotisland.com owner Tom Bush was always on the cutting edge of ideas for the internet, including the first online Ticket-exchange. He eventually sold his stakes in the site and retired to an island in St Somewhere...
