Description
Julianna Smith is an artist and illustrator living in Portland, Oregon, with her husband and two kids, Arden and Perry. She works and paints from her home studio under the watchful eyes of her children. Her studio is never quiet, always crowded, and full of glitter, Legos, and laundry. Her work is influenced by old-fashioned children’s books and vintage advertising cuts. It is playful, slightly girly, a little nostalgic, and can be found on consumer products, on greeting cards, and in magazines. She is currently working on a line of art-prints and can often be seen scouring the paper and art supply stores of Portland, kids in-tow.
In 2001, Julianna found a niche market for her unique style and started her own greeting card company, Parlez-Vous. Parlezvouscards.com features her extensive line of hand-embellished greeting card designs.
