Paraclete Realty, LLC, began operations on May 21, 1999. Its founder, Charlie Phelps, has worked in the Shopping Center Industry for over 20 years. Formerly, a stockholder at Hicks & Rotner Associates, Inc., now known as H&R Retail, Charlie brings to the field a unique blend of expertise and skill in dealing with retail real estate matters. Paraclete serves the Northern Virginia, Washington, DC, and Maryland markets from its office in Millersville, MD.
At present Paraclete represents fifteen retail properties and nine retailers. In addition to this, a variety of national big-box and chain retailers exclusively utilize Paraclete's services to assist them with their expansion plans throughout the Market.
Charles F. Phelps, Jr.: President: Formerly with H&R Retail, Inc., Charlie has over 20 years experience in the Shopping Center industry, covering every aspect of Retail Real Estate. He has earned and received ICSC's Certified Leasing Specialist designation “CLS”. Charlie represents a number of landlords, including Annapolis Developers, Dyson Construction, and The Stop & Shop Supermarket Company. He has represented national landlords, including Centro Watt (formerly Kramont REIT), Kimco Realty Corporation, and Saul Centers. He works extensively with many national retailers including Jo-Ann Fabrics, Tuesday Morning, and Max & Erma's Restaurants. He exclusively represents C2 Educational Center and Bruster's Ice Cream where he is responsible for land purchases, site selection, lease negotiations, and tenant relations. Prior to joining H&R Retail, Inc., he worked for MART, now owned by Kimco, as a leasing specialist. Charlie is a graduate of Boston College with a degree in finance.
