In 1971 Richard Yobs Sr. bought a small underdeveloped paint store in the A&P Center on route 53 in Denville, New Jersey where Painten’ Place was launched. In the last 30 years Painten’ Place has grown into one of Morris County’s leading sources for paint and wall covering by providing customers the finest products, excellent service, and competitive prices.
Today Painten’ Place is a major provider of well known brands like Benjamin Moore and Cabot stains as well as maintaining thousands of paint and wall covering related items in inventory. The very busy retail operation at Painten’ Place is supported by it’s many loyal contractors and commercial sales including local hospitals & factories.
You can still find Richard Sr. talking “paint” daily to customers as is his daughter Liz. Richard is a certified paint consultant and Liz is a certified wall-covering consultant. Gregg, Bill, Art, Jesse, Tricia, and Joyce round out the sales and office staff.
