You may wonder how PacksOnline came to be. (Or you may just be wondering why it took so long for somebody to do this.)
Several years ago I created a Web site for my son's Cub Scout pack in Bon Air, Virginia. Having some professional Web experience I was able to create a site that was reasonably functional and attractive.
Within two weeks of launching that site I received an E-mail from a Scout dad in Missouri who had stumbled upon my new site. He had no Web experience and had been struggling to create a site for his son's pack for months. He was starting to get embarrassed with each passing month and the commitment he had made to the pack was now weighing heavy on him. He was simply writing me to compliment me on the site I had created.
