Illinois Securities and Commodities Fraud
Litigation as a Government Attorney
- While I was employed as a trial attorney for CFTC's Division of Enforcement, I represented the Commission before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in an action against the Hunt family for alleged violations of the Commission's speculative position limits. I ended up reaching a settlement with the defendants that included substantial fines and a cease and desist order. - On top of winning key security class action defense and commodities litigation cases, I have also represents clients before the SEC, CFTC, NASD, NFA, New York Stock Exchange, American Stock Exchange, Chicago Mercantile Exchange, and Chicago Board of Trade at disciplinary hearings and firms and clients who have cases involving alleged violations of non-compete agreements.
