www.OrthodoxFamily.com is run by a convert family, members of an OCA parish, under the oversight of their parish priest. We are a large, conservative homeschooling family, and friendly to the "quiver-full" mindset, but this does not define the boundaries of our fellowship, nor do these descriptions serve as terms of exclusion for use of this site.
The site is intended to serve Orthodox families in a practical way, and is not for the purpose of divisive debates about the relative merits of homeschooling vs. other kinds of schooling, homebirthing vs. hospital birthing, breastfeeding vs. bottlefeeding, NFP vs. "artificial" contraceptives, Eastern vs. Western medicine, or any sort of issue relating to canonicity or calendar. All posts to the bulletin boards and email list are to be delivered in an attitude of helpfulness and humility befitting an Orthodox believer.
All family-oriented Orthodox faithful, catechumens, and seekers are invited to participate, regardless of their canonicity, providing they understand that divisive posting is unwelcome. Many places on the web are available for those who enjoy aggressive apologetics and debate; please avail yourselves of these sites when feeling the need to scratch the itch for debate.
