Orrville Public Library began in 1925 with a collection of 600 books in a vacant room at the high school. The present building was dedicated in 1941. Additions were dedicated in 1977 and 2000. The current facility is 25,000 square feet and holds over 85,000 items. The library is a School District library under the jurisdiction of the Orrville Board of Education and is governed by a seven member Board of Trustees, which meets monthly.
