Organic By Nature opened its doors and phone lines for business in August 1998 absorbing a small mail order company by the name of Natural Health Concept. Our goal was to provide high quality whole food nutritional products to consumers at affordable prices, initially focusing on the products formulated by David Sandoval of the Green Kamut Corporation. The business has grown significantly over the last two years, and we decided it was time for a product expansion. We asked many Organic By Nature customers what other supplements they took daily, and many of you mentioned other green foods such as chlorella and spirulina as well as ginseng, and Vitamin C. We were seriously contemplating manufacturing our own brands of these products when two opportunities presented themselves to us.
MONAS Chlorella In April of 2000 we received a phone call from a wonderful woman named Jackie Arellano who was carrying on her mother's work of selling Japanese Chlorella. Her mother, Joni had discovered the healing benefits of chlorella while fighting cancer and was passionate about educating the public of its effects. Joni knew the high price of leading brands of chlorella on the market and knew that many people could not afford to take it in the therapeutic quantities they needed. She contracted the manufacturer in Japan, cultivated a relationship with them and began selling the highest quality chlorella at affordable prices, helping others fight cancer and degenerative diseases. She named her newly found company Monas which means health and happiness in Indonesian. Joni passed away in 1997 and her daughter Jackie took over the job of educating and providing the highest quality chlorella at an affordable price.
When Jackie could no longer access Japanese chlorella at affordable prices, she chose to shut down the business. When we at Organic By Nature heard she was closing the operation, we did not want Monas philosophy lost, as our ideals and beliefs in quality green foods were much the same. -"To provide high quality health products to our customers at the very lowest cost." Organic By Nature acquired the besiness in May 2000 and now provides 100% pure chlorella powder and tablets.
