About Us
We went online in 2004 and hope that we will stay here for many many years to come. We strive to create a community of support, assistance, and activism.
Sexual crime is a sensitive issue and it is not hard to see why. It is very difficult to openly discuss topics like molestation, rape, incest, and child abuse. The crimes are often horrendous. They are difficult to stomach and difficult to imagine. Sexual crime is something that our society must take seriously. Sexual crime, like all violence, propagates itself. It is no secret that victims often become the abusers. While this serves as a poor excuse for inflicting suffering, this dynamic is undeniable and deserves a closer look.
It is even more difficult to discuss these things in a way that does not immediately digress into a rant against sex offenders. We forget that criminals have rights. We forget that every human deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. Many legal assistance programs explicitly leave out sex offenders. Often, those accused of sexual crimes are in the greatest need of legal assistance. Why? Because in the tirade against sexual deviants, we've create blanket legislation.
