Marie Bartlett, a veteran freelance writer, has more than 20 years of experience in the rough-and-tumble world of freelance writing. Now the author of three nonfiction books, Marie, who holds a master's degree in adult education, has returned on a full-time basis to the craft she loves, continuing to write while guiding beginning and accomplished students through the intricacies of marketing their own nonfiction ideas using an easy to follow step-by-step approach.

After twelve years of making her living as a full-time writer, Marie returned to school to complete her college degree and try her hand at a whole new career. She spent a decade in state government as a magistrate judge, followed by a stint in federal district court. Though she virtually abandoned the writing life during this stage, the desire to write never left her.
