Off Campus Partners company was founded in 2000 by Jason Bordainick, a student at the University of Virginia who was completely frustrated by his experience finding off-campus housing. After his idea was selected as a finalist in a business concept competition, he borrowed money from his grandparents and launched offGROUNDS, a service for students and property managers in and around the University of Virginia.
