Our Mission
OCTC is a leader in providing specialized care for those with multiple physical, developmental, and associated behavioural needs, focusing on our Region's children and youth. We exemplify community partnership, maximizing integration and independence for clients and their families.
OCTC will function and provide services in English and French while striving to meet the needs of the culturally diverse community we serve.
Family-centred care is made up of a set of values, attitudes, and approaches to services for people with special needs and their families. This approach recognizes that the family is the constant in the person's life, and the expert on his or her abilities and needs. The person and his or her family work together with service providers to make informed decisions about the services and the supports the person and his or her family receive. The strengths and needs of all family members are considered in family-centred service.
