- Homeworks is a family owned and operated full service furniture and floor covering business. My father, mother, brother and I opened the business on April 1st, 1980, in Salisbury, Maryland. After one year, we realized that our casual contemporary style of furniture was more fitted to the "beach" environment, and we moved from Salisbury to the bay side of 67th Street in Ocean City, Maryland. We opened a floor covering business across the street from our furniture showroom in 1986. Then in 1997, we opened a second floor covering showroom in Bethany Beach, Delaware.
