New Zealand Institute of International Understanding (NZIIU) was established in 1987 as a non-profit charitable trust. It was founded to help the youth of today - the future leaders of tomorrow - to appreciate and celebrate cultural differences.
NZIIU’s exchange programmes are recognised and approved by the New Zealand Ministry of Education and we are a member of both the Federation of International Youth Travel Organisations (FIYTO),
