Description
NW Sound is the premier barbershop chorus in the Pacific Northwest. Chartered by SPEBSQSA in 1985, NW Sound was founded to offer a demanding and challenging musical experience with a commitment to excellence. In both competition and public performance, the chorus always strives to be its very best, with members that put forth the time and effort necessary so everyone can enjoy the result.
Winners of the 1986, 1988, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1994, and 2005 Evergreen District Chorus Championships, NW Sound represented the Pacific Northwest at the International Barbershop Chorus Contests in 1987, 1989, 1991, 1992, 1993, and 1995. NW Sound placed as high as ninth in both the 1992 (New Orleans) and 1993 (Calgary) International Conventions.
Most recently, NW Sound won the 2005 Evergreen District Chorus Championships, which included competitors from five states and two Canadian provinces.
