About NurtuRings

Inspired by Michelangelo's painting on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel entitled "The Creation of Adam," a mother of five created the NurtuRing to honor mothers' daily sacrifies.

Photographs below illustrate the ring's unique design: a mother's hand giving and a baby's hand taking a birth stone, a symbol of God's divine spark of life. The two hands also entwine to become the NurtuRing's band, suggesting the never-ending, circular nature of the bond between parent and child.

How to Use the NurtuRing

NurtuRing replaces the traditional safety-pin-on-the-bra method of remembering on which side to nurse a newborn. During infancy, the new mother wears the ring as a symbol of her sacrifice and caring. The ring can also be useful as a reminding device for daily baby tasks such as nursing, or whose turn it is to change baby's diaper or give her a bottle during the night.
