If you have read J. R. R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings trilogy, you would know who a Numenorean is. If you haven't read it, I suggest you do! It's a story that's hard to beat for its rich imagery, narrative gravitas and truly epic feel. Numenor is a fictional location in Middle-Earth of the Lord of the Rings. It was essentially Tolkien's version of Atlantis. In the Quenya language of the Elves, it meant "West-land".
