Number 35 Pensons Chambers in Oswestry's Willow Street has had a varied history since it was built by town house architect and surveyor, Thomas Penson in 1840.
Penson was a well-known bridge builder who held the office of surveyor of roads for the county of Shropshire in addition to designing the Oswestry's Cross Market and National School.
The listed building has many well preserved features and refurbishment has made the most of the elaborate ceiling cornices and covings.
