Title
MSA Sports Network
Description
MSA Sports Network evolved from the Nauticom Sports Network, which ceased operations December 28, 2000. During the WPIAL 2001 basketball and baseball playoffs, several key members of the former Nauticom Sports Network, most notably Operations Manager and Studio Host Don Rebel, approached Management Science Associates, Inc. (MSA), a pioneer in marketing and media research, to sponsor the radio and Internet broadcasts of those playoffs.
The playoffs were a success, the fan response was tremendous and MSA Sports Network on May 31, 2001 achieved a coup by broadcasting the first WPIAL baseball championship from PNC Park. May 31, 2001 also marked the formal announcement of the re-launch of MSA Sports Network.
NSNSports found MSA willing to become a corporate partner, acquired the URL: www.nsnsports.com and broadcasting equipment from Nauticom and is now re-launched as MSA Sports Network and MSASportsNetwork.com. Nauticom will continue to handle the simultaneous radio broadcasts through its server.
