Over 400 professionals attended the 2007 NPUAP Consensus and Best Practice Conference in San Antonio. This record setting audience reviewed the updated stages of pressure ulcers and voted on the priorities for NPUAP for the next two years. The attendees on the Best Practice Conference heard information from Dr. Joann Lynn on Medicare and Medicaid issues and on the JCAHO view of pressure ulcers in acute care. Dr. Elizabeth Ayello and Dr. Courtney Lyder received the Kosiak Award and Thomas Stewart Founder's Award, respectively.
