- I n June of 1976, Barbara A. Whitaker, CIC, joined the Novotny, Inc. staff as a licensed insurance agent. Nineteen years later, Barbara bought the agency and is now President and CEO of the company. Since the new ownership, the company has seen much growth and improvement. With the addition of Barbara's daughter, Jessica, to the company's team in 2004, they look forward to even more advancement in the future.
