President Dean L. Hubbard welcomes you to Northwest Online. Our virtual campus reflects the convergence of two nationally known programs, Northwest Missouri State University's Electronic Campus and our Culture of Quality initiative.
Northwest has been in the forefront of educational technology since 1987, when Northwest installed the first comprehensive electronic campus in the nation by equipping every residence hall room and faculty office with a networked computer workstation. This diffusion of computer technology across campus has culminated in an extensive incorporation of information technology into Northwest courses and the natural evolution into web-based learning.
Our Culture of Quality program, also launched in 1987, utilizes the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award criteria as its guiding principles. This program led to Northwest receiving the 1998 Missouri Quality Award and is clearly evident in NorthwestOnline.
