NorthPort Communications was established in October of 2005 in recognition that the lobbying industry on Capitol Hill has changed in a dramatic fashion. Clients paying full cost for congressional lobbying efforts from large firms often find that the expense outweighs the results. The scenario has given rise to a new breed of technologically and politically savvy legislative entrepreneurs. The idea that having a presence in Washington, DC, and paying a premium for lobbying contractors, made of sense 20 years ago.
