Dr. Gurley has been involved in numerous volunteer and charity benefits, which include treating homebound patients abroad and the Third World populations in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Dr. Gurley received the Meritorious Service Award in 1986 from the University of Tennessee. He is a member of the American Dental Association, The International College of Oral Implantology (ICOL), and is also a member of the prestigious American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry
