Regional Telecom Pty Ltd is a licensed telecommunications carrier based in the Northern Rivers of New South Wales it built Australia's first commercial high speed broadband communications "Last Mile" network using DOCSIS 1.1 cable technology over wireless.
The company is now focussed on further developing its capacities as a premium provider of broadband wireless services supplemented by broadband ADSL and dial up Internet.
Regional Telecom networks will provide for Voice, Data, Video and other digital services, specifically for Australia's Regions. Through its holding company Regional Telecom has access to the latest generation WiMAX 802.16e IEEE standards based equipment. This technology is supported by WiFi 802.11i standards based equipment for the delivery of highly cost effective networks to locations of low population densities.
