The Bay Area Small Business Development Corporation, now Nor-Cal FDC, was created in 1978 to assist small businesses in obtaining financing. Working with the California State Loan Guaranty Program, Nor-Cal FDC provides the "guaranty" or collateral to finance the loan. This enables businesses that traditionally would not receive funding to obtain financing and build their companies.
