Drawing inspiration from one of the most identifiable, commercially successful and socially relevant rock acts of the 1990’s, NO CODE, The Pearl Jam Tribute, has quickly become one of New Jersey’s top cover bands. NO CODE’s talent, passion and detailed knowledge of Pearl Jam’s music is evident in its every performance. The band’s popularity has been steadily rising ever since forming in December 2003, as it has packed various venues to capacity. NO CODE replicates the sound, energy and emotion of being at a live Pearl Jam concert, from the first guitar riff to the last applause.
Pearl Jam fans, or “Jammers,” match the dedication level seen in recent rock history with “Deadheads.” The region from the Northeast Corridor through the Mid-Atlantic States has long been known among Jammers as the “Pearl Jam Belt” for its significant concentration of fans in relation to the rest of the country. Web-savvy followers of the original band have taken to posting on its official message board about NO CODE and hailing it as the best Pearl Jam tribute band they’ve heard.
As a result of the buzz, NO CODE has received many requests to play cities from Boston to Washington, D.C., and its members are interested in traveling great distances to accommodate those requests. The band’s ultimate goals are to establish name recognition among devoted Pearl Jam fans and develop an expansive following of its own.
