- After a basic camera course in February and March of 1979 conducted by Dean Yager of Nipawin, some students decided to form a camera club in Nipawin. With the co-operation of Dean Yager who was quite seen on the idea . A preliminary meeting was held at the Yagers's in April. In attendance was, Dave Evans, Dean and Allyson Yager, Don Whyte and Glen Grassing. Dean Yager was elected President and Dave Evans elected Secretary. There was no Treasure elected. A list of prospective members was made up and hey were contacted by phone. Members who joined at the following meetings were. Allan Shaw, Len Stark, Norm Nichol, Lois Whenham, Marg Paidel
