Nikki was born in New York City as Dominique, but since she was kind of petite, her name just seemed too long. Her mom started calling her 'Nikki", and that is what a lot of her friends call her even today. When Nikki was 3 years old, her family moved to The Netherlands for a few years, but eventually they moved back to the States, and picked Northern California as their "home base".
