About Nicholai
I was born Nicholai Robertson Ronningen, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, in 1971. In 1980, my family moved to North Carolina. After graduating from The Asheville School in 1990, I returned to Michigan where I attended Hope College. I earned a BA in English and a minor in Spanish. Leaving college, I pursued a career in retail management for several years which allowed me to develop basic business skills.
In 1998 I returned to North Carolina to build a web site for my father's travel agency. I spent a year working on the project, teaching myself basic HTML, image editing, and web site design. As my skills developed, so did my interest.
I design web sites from the ground up, working with copy, editing images and creating custom graphics to develop an engaging presentation that allows my clients to communicate effectively with their audience.
