Description
NHBC is a young and friendly church with a contemporary style of worship. Doctrinally conservative; we believe that Jesus is God and his Word is Truth. We believe the Bible is perpetually relevant to every culture in all ages. NHBC is pastor led and elder governed, and is mission and ministry oriented.
We are theologically conservative - Our approach to studying the Bible is to accept it as an objective revelation of a body of truths by a divine Author. We accept without reservation its historical accuracy. We believe literally the Bible's assertions that it is God's Word, that Jesus is both God and man, that He is the Creator of everything, that there is a real heaven and hell, etc.
We have a contemporary style of worship - Our services are centered in a celebration of our love for Jesus. We don't just sing about him, we sing to him. We are not liturgical - we have no problem with those who are, it's just that we find it refreshing to express our worship in a more spontaneous and contemporary way.
