Introduction
Addressing an e-assessment conference at the Royal Festival Hall in London in 2004, the Chief Executive of the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA), Dr Ken Boston, announced “on-screen assessment will shortly touch the life of every learner in this country.”
Dr Boston explained that “Advances in technology have given us the opportunity to access and record aspects of human achievement that have been difficult to capture in the past. There is a massive potential to increase participation, learning and performance, making this country more competitive on the world stage.”
Testwise is nferNelson’s online assessment service. It delivers a broad range of leading assessments, including the Cognitive Abilities Test 150,000 pupils took nferNelson tests through Testwise in 2005, making nferNelson online tests the most widely used in schools in the UK.
