Description
The New Craftsman is the oldest established Gallery and Craft shop in St Ives. It was one of two craft shops in St Ives started by Janet Leach, wife of Bernard Leach and an acclaimed potter in her own right. In the 1960s Boots Redgrave became her business partner and brought with her Michael Hunt as manager, a position he still holds.
Following the death of Janet Leach and Boots Redgrave the shop is now owned by Stella and Nick Redgrave, the children of Boots Redgrave, who are delighted to be involved in such a fascinating shop.
The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable about the work displayed in the shop and the craftsmen and women who produce it.
