Daniel L. Sambursky, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a pioneer in Laser Vision Correction (LVC). In the early 1990's he participated in the Excimer Laser surgery investigational trials and was among the first vision correction surgeons in the United States to perform LASIK Surgery. He has even had the vision correction surgery procedure done himself.
Ophthalmology specialist, Dr. Sambursky earned his medical degree from the SUNY Upstate Medical School and completed an internship at the University of Rochester, Strong Memorial Hospital program in internal medicine. He then completed his training in Ophthalmology and ocular surgery at the Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital, which is one of the nation's top ten medical and surgical training programs in Ophthalmology. Ophthalmology specialist, Dr. Sambursky also had the honor of being unanimously elected to serve as Chief Resident at Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital. He then completed a Fellowship, which is an additional year of training, in Refractive and Corneal Surgery at the prestigious Wilmer Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital, widely regarded as the top Ophthalmology program in the world.
