(1) I'm OK and You're OK. In other words, both therapist and client(s) are of great value and have a shared responsibility in the work. The therapist is not "more ok" than the client. The Therapist does not rescue and the Client is not seen as a victim.
(3) Everyone in the room can change - ie make decisions to experiment, or to do things in a new way. We do not have to be held in the grip of "the past".
What characterises your practice?
My practice is an integration of "The Relational Approach" and Transactional Analysis (TA). The Relational Approach focuses on how we relate to ourselves and others, both now and in the past. Transactional Analysis models ideas of how we transact internally with ourselves and externally with others and the world.
