Never Happens Here - Arts & Music Festival
Description
The Never Happens Here Arts & Music Festival was conceived by a group of Lower Mainland, B.C. artists and musicians who wanted to host a world class festival in an area that they all grew up in and where nothing of the sort ever happens.
One of the main aims of the festival is to promote Canadian artists who are trying to make their works known and available to the masses, but not in the typical industry, exploitative manner. To promote quality up & coming Canadian artists of all types (musicians/bands, filmmakers, visual artists, spoken word artists, etc.). To create a venue where artists can both gain exposure to an audience that might not usually be available to them, while at the same time giving them an opportunity to make contacts with other local, national and international artists. To help inspire further growth and evolution amongst all artists in Canada.
If you did not have the opportunity to attend the first annual N.H.H. festival in 2003 here's what a few of the attendees had to say:
"Hi! I had the opportunity to attend the festival yesterday & I just wanted to say (even in spite of the power problems) it was really great! I had a wonderful time—the music was amazing, the site was amazing, staff people were helpful & friendly & the ambience was just wonderful.
You did a top rate job (it must have been a nightmare at times!) and made my weekend. I hope you’re able to do it again next year (and the year after that & the year after that…). My family members & friends & I would definitely make it our annual end of the summer party.
