Company Leadership
Rachel Pastirik is a Web designer and developer, or as she puts it, a Web architect. Much like the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright, Pastirik combines aesthetics and science to create web and application experiences that are both pleasing to see and to interact with.
Since 1998, Pastirik's firm has architected more than 84 stable and secure (and, yes, even a little bit sexy) web sites for companies down the street to around the globe. Some of the more entertaining and challenging projects include a political campaign in the Republic of El Salvador, a daily newspaper serving 19 counties in Virginia, an Austrian woodworking machinery distributor, a foundation headed by tennis pro Venus Williams, an event for the Marine Corps League, and of course the many local projects for consultancies, small businesses, and universities in Northern Virginia and the DC-Metro area.
In 2003, Pastirik received a B.S. in the Media field, with a Web concentration, and a minor in Information Technology from Radford University. During this time she spent three years directing and leading a team of forty students in the production of Radford University's weekly online magazine. She also taught classes in the Computer Science Department, and chaired the Student Media Committee - all while working towards her own degree.
Pastirik's consulting firm, Netdrafter, is the current outlet for her creative and scientific interests. Through Netdrafter, she offers web site creation, application development, hosting, and consulting services. Pastirik's mission is to provide attractive, high-value, web services that offer big company technology with small-business attentiveness. With many dozens of companies happily NetdraftedSM, it looks like she's achieved her goal.
