Description
Effective environmental management programs in Uganda requires the cooperation of all who live in this country: government, NGOs, investors, industries, you and me. The Government of Uganda (GOU) pursued this requirement by forming the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA). NEMA is the principal agency responsible for the management of the environment in Uganda and coordinates, monitors and supervises all activities in this field.
(NEMA) is the principal agency in Uganda for the management of the environment and it co-ordinates, monitors and supervises all activities in the field of the environment.
The latest regulations governing the use of resources are the above and they apply to access to genetic resources or parts of genetic resources whether naturally occurring or naturalized including genetic resources bred for or intended for commercial purposes within Uganda or for export.
