NEFS - New Track integrated Electrical Single Flap Drive System - is a research project funded under the 6th Framework Programme's aeronautics theme of the European Union. NEFS intends to replace the conventional drive trains needed for deploying and retracting wing flaps by individual, distributed flap drive system which shall completely be integrated into each flap track beam.
