Description
The National Eating Disorder Information Centre (NEDIC) is a non-profit organization founded in 1985 to provide information and resources on eating disorders and food and weight preoccupation. One of our main goals is to inform the public about eating disorders and related issues.
The Mental Health Programs and Services division of the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care has mandated NEDIC to provide information about issues related to eating disorders, including up-to-date information on what treatment is available.
Staffs a telephone helpline that provides information on treatment or support. Our phones - 416-340-4156 in Toronto/GTA, or 1-866-NEDIC-20 (1-866-63342-20) across Canada - are staffed from 9 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday (Eastern Standard Time). We return messages as quickly as possible.
