Description
Nepean is a community school with a long tradition of encouraging its students to strive for excellence academically, artistically and in athletics. Our school motto is " Play the Game." In 1931 one of our students Ted Beddoe advised his fellow students in the school yearbook to "Play the game! Every day in every way! Do it in every little thing each day until it becomes a habit. When you have made a habit of playing the game your success is assured." During the past eighty-three years Nepean students have taken this motto to heart. Over 94% of our graduates proceed on to post secondary studies. 65% of our 2003-2004 graduates were Ontario Scholars.
The staff at Nepean is committed to meeting the needs of each of our students to the very best of our ability and to ensuring that each student receives an education of the highest quality. As a school community we expect our graduates to be well-rounded, have a strong knowledge base as well as critical thinking skills and productive work habits. We expect our students to become responsible citizens and leaders of our community.
Enriched courses in English, French, Math, Science, Geography and History. Advanced Placement preparatory courses and external examinations in English, Mathematics, French, History, Biology and Chemistry.
