Ncsasports.org Helps in Recruiting Process for Coaches & Educating Athletes

NCSA Athletic Recruiting is a network that educates, assists, and connects talented young athletes with prospective coaches throughout the United States. With 42,738 college coaches in its network, NCSA uses the power of social networking to help students achieve their dreams of participating in collegiate athletics. The network has been featured on CBS, ESPN, and CNN as a revolutionary way to help student athletes take control of their futures.

NCSA Athletic Recruiting offers two types of memberships: free and customized. Free memberships allow any athlete to build a profile to use for connecting with college coaches. Custom members pay a small membership fee to receive priority access to the NCSA recruiting management system, as well as professional highlight video editing and guidance from a team of former college coaches and athletes. Last year, 90% of the students who were custom members were matched with colleges and received an average of $18,000 per year in financial aid.

NCSA Athletic Recruiting was founded by Chris Krause, a former football player who discovered that many young athletes did not fully understand the recruiting process. When Krause was a junior in high school, he was contacted by over 100 collegiate football programs. He did not understand how the process worked, however, and almost missed out on the chance to play in college because of the slow start he had in comparing offers from the different schools. Krause eventually accepted a full scholarship to Vanderbilt University and graduated in four years. In 2000, he founded NCSA Athletic Recruiting to empower student athletes to find the college programs best suited for their academic and professional goals.
