The Sequetus Series
A 23 BOOK SCIENCE FICTION EPIC
The Sequetus series is a series of twenty-four books which took a quarter of a century to write. They can be found on Amazon, Smashwords, iTunes, Barnes and Noble, Kobo and many more outlets.
Nick Broadhurst is the author of the Sequetus Series, the twenty-four book science fiction epic. He began writing the first book in 1989, during the cold war. The story is about an extraterrestrial intelligence agent, sent to Earth to find out what is happening on this planet. Here, people lead extremely short lives, compared to out there, yet technology is advancing as a fast pace. The planet seems to be closed off to most out there as well. While there are some visits to the planet, and half the planet believe that there are extraterrestrial visitors, almsot all governments deny their existance. This agent then finds he is hunted here, not long after his arrival.
Upon leaving the planet, the agent must compile an intelligence estimate, and present it to his patron. This is where it gets interesting, as many out there would rather se the planet and its population destroyed, so as to cover what has been happening here.
There are four miniseries. The first is the New Earth Miniseries. That is followed by the Templar Miniseries, the Juggernaut Miniseries, and finally the Earth Syndrome Miniseries. While any one of the miniseries can be read by itself, readers are encouraged to read them all from start to the very end.
Perhaps the most interesting part of these books was the research. For example, did you know that the Earth's moon, unlike other moons of other planets, does not circle our planet in the same plane as the Earth. It circles our Earth on the plane of the sun. Our Earth is on a tilt to that plane, and also has a wobble during its rotation. The moon is molten inside too. This is because the moon does follow a perfect circle around the Earth. However, the circle does not have the center of the Earth at its center. It is some other geometric point. Due to this the moon gets closer and then further away from the Earth. The differing gravity on the moon causes the moon to contract and expand. This creates moon quakes, thousands and thousands a year. This friction heats up the center of the moon. The molten lava is called maria, and it spills out over the craters. This is why there are dark parts of the moon with no craters. This in turn creates a hollow core, or caverns. There is folk law from around the planet, from Greece, to Tibet, stating when the moon arrived and what life was like without it, and the moon people who arrived with it. If you are beginning to think the moon might have been put here, maybe you are also wondering why. The speculative reason for such would not be in the field of science, but rather, science fiction. The Sequetus Series is a twenty-three book science fiction set.
There are many other examples, similar to the above, of research taken up in the books, and woven into the plot.
Nick Broadhurst is also a construction manager, an architect, and other things, but mostly he loves to write. Here is his author's page. Being a construction manager, he needs a firm base to build his story on, so his research is key.
Nick has several enterprises that he is engaged in other than straight project management. One is Canberra Building Inspections Fast and Professional, which is in Canberra, and in partnership with Perth Building Inspections of Western Australia. Nick graduated the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor Degree of Architecture, and began building in many states of Australia. He spent ten years in Japan, two years in the USA and has worked in another half a dozen Asian countries.
