Nature Sounds.ca was originally Guy in the Woods on the website mp3.com. The start of Nature Sounds.ca in the autumn of 2004 is a result of the demise of mp3.com in December 2003. Nature Sounds.ca is solely owned and operated by Karl Hamilton in Ontario, Canada. As Guy in the Woods on mp3.com, I had over 60,000 downloads/listens within a three year period. My Thunderstorm audio soundscape maintained a top ten position on the mp3.com sound effects chart for that length of time as well, usually holding the number one spot. Unlike other nature-recording artists, I work with all natural sounds, with no instrumental arrangements added. Why? Because I often find that listening to another person's instrumental interpretation is similar to seeing the movie version after reading the book.
