In 1987, our circus education programs were organized into a separate division of our organization, as the National Circus Project. NCP has conducted teaching programs in thousands of public schools, introducing basic circus skills to over 5,000,000 American schoolchildren. In 1990, NCP directors began an artist exchange program in which international artists of merit are placed in our American school residence programs, adding a new cultural dimension to the arts experience.
