Rotaract of Greater Nashville
Description
Rotaract of Greater Nashville is a service organization for men and women aged 18-30 that fosters leadership and responsible citizenship, encourages high ethical standards in business and promotes understanding and peace. Rotaract is a program of Rotary International and Rotaract of Greater Nashville works under the guidance of the Brentwood Rotary Club. Rotaract takes its name from a combination of the words Rotary and action.
To provide opportunities for personal and group activities to serve the community and promote international understanding and goodwill to all people.
Rotaract of Greater Nashville meets over lunch on the third Monday of every month at the Mere Bulles on Maryland Way in Brentwood. Our monthly meetings feature speakers from the Nashville business community. Recent speakers have included Jeff Diamond (President and CEO of the Tennessee Titans), Marsh Blackburn (Tennessee state senator) and Joe Biddle (sports writer for The Tennessean and talk show host for 99.7 WTN). We also participate in monthly social outings and quarterly community service projects. In the past few months we have participated in the Adpot-A-Highway program, worked with disadvantage children at the DeDe Wallace Center, and watched the Nashville Predators and Nashville Sounds.
