Description
My name is Kristen Norrod. ( That's me, on the right - self portrait. ) I have loved taking pictures ever since I can remember. Even at a young age, I had a flare for the abstract. I took pictures of carrot sticks and ceiling fans. I scared my sister, so I could get a shot of her "terrified" look.
As I got older, I experimented with perspective, color, and Adobe Photoshop. I realized that I see things a bit differently than other people. I also developed a laidback style that seems to relax the people I'm with. This comes in handy when persuading a client to try a different pose, or a new idea entirely. One thing that I hear a lot, is "I know you won't make me look stupid. I trust you." It's true - I won't. The key, is trusting your photographer, so that you will look good in the final product.
I live in Traverse City with my husband, and our son. They "graciously" put up with having my camera in their faces all the time. The same thing goes for my friends. I can't help it though. Who better to photograph, than the people closest to you?
