Musical Designs - Gymnastics Floor Music
Musical Designs is dedicated to producing top quality floor routine music for gymnastics competitions. Our affiliation with several record labels and established performing artists allows us to bring a variety of great music into the gymnastics arena. To facilitate your floor music search, free, online demos are provided for a number of our songs: just go to the Free Demos page and enjoy. In addition, selected demo MP3s can be purchased from the MP3 Download section of our site. If you prefer to have all of our floor routine songs on one disc, a demo cd can also be ordered. Regardless of how you preview our floor music, we want to make your shopping experience as easy as possible so please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions!
Once you’ve decided on a song, the online order process is pretty simple and straightforward: from our Song List page, click on the name of the song you've chosen and from there, just follow the instructions. Upon receipt of your order, we’ll usually have your music ready to be mailed by the next business day. Please keep in mind that because of the high occurrence of music privacy, all sales are final; therefore we recommend that you get final approval from your coach before completing your floor music purchase.
We automatically provide 2 competition cds with every purchase: 1 is your primary cd and the other is your backup. Each competition cd is labeled with the name and timing of the song, plus we also recommend that the labels reflect the gymnast's name. Your cds can be labeled with other supplemental information as well (such as the name of gym, the competitive level, and any words of encouragement that you might want to add). You'll be prompted for this type of personalization during the order process.

Company Background:
First of all, let me introduce myself: my name is Karen Habegger, and I’m the owner of Musical Designs. I’m also the one and only full-time employee. 
I earned a bachelor’s degree in music composition from Bowling Green State University ... long before the advent of personal computers. Back then we did things the old-fashioned way: music was written out by hand and songs were recorded by live musicians (thankfully, we don’t have to do it this way anymore)! Whether it’s putting together a musical arrangement or making the final edits to a song, the sky’s the limit these days. True, keeping pace with various computer issues and different software programs can certainly present a challenge, but just having this kind of technology available today is totally worth it and is definitely a musician’s dream come true!
I have 2 daughters, both of whom were competitive gymnasts, and my husband and I spent many enjoyable years chauffeuring the girls to the gym for workouts and meets. We videotaped every meet – it’s always fun to watch their old routines. When the girls finally reached the optional levels, the search for floor music seemed overwhelming at times; it was almost a continuous activity for us (so I can definitely say that I’ve “been there and done that” when it comes to floor music)!
After a lot of thought and discussion and with much encouragement from family and friends, I decided to form my own floor music company in order to provide quality floor music to other gymnasts. I’m happy to say that Musical Designs has been in business since 2001, and musical-designs.com was launched just a short time later.
